Beca.org

Google is that friend that is there for you to answer your questions & get you to where you're going. My mother did not prohibit or restrain my freedom to develop more questioning skills. Helping others involve being there for others, long enough to let them communicate. We need to ask questions because it helps us develop our thinking.

Here is a website I found.

How do you help others?

I ask myself everyday, "How can I help others?" I saw a man laying on the side of the street in district 1 of Saigon, Vietnam, Asia, today, Saturday, the 25th of May 2013. This is Joey Arnold, the Original Oatmeal: OriginalOatmeal@Gmail.com. OriginalOatmeal.WordPress.com. It is 1 PM right now at the Tous Les Jours: 223 Nguyễn Trãi, Nguyễn Cư Trinh, Quận 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. I live in district Binh Thanh of Saigon, as in Ho Chi Minh (HCM). I teach English in Vietnam (VN). I have been in Vietnam since Thursday, the 29th of November of 2012. I was around Hanoi (HN), Bac Ninh, Hoa Binh, & a few other places until Sunday, the 10th of February 2013 when I came to HCM.

The man was selling the "Lucky Money" which is like lottery tickets. Many people sell these tickets. I am not sure why others will buy these apart from feeling sorry for the people that are selling them.

I started this blog today as my way of counseling myself through this dilemma of making the world a better place. I named this blog after my favorite uncle, the husband of my mother's sister. The name of my uncle was Jimmy Williams. You could call him Jim. Me & my siblings went to our aunt Karen & uncle Jim William's house (or we would see them like yearly or so) in Warrenton, Oregon, United States (or other places) since we were very young from the 1980's until Jim died of cancer in August of 2008.

Jim & Karen saved our lives (from our verbally-abusive alcoholic father) almost every summer. We grew up in a trailer in the Rose Grove Mobile Home Park Community of Forest Grove, of the Washington County, Oregon, United States (USA). We always looked forward to our aunt & uncle because they would take us to their huge 2-story house near the coast (the Pacific Ocean) where we could eat cereal, ice-cream, splash in the colder beach, go to the cinema, park, lake, arcade, hiking the Astoria Columns in Astoria, Oregon, USA  & other fundamental childhood memories. Uncle Jim had like a split-personality. It was a character inspired from an old pet cat they use to have back in the 1970's and/or 1980's. The cat's name was and is Woof. Jim would talk to himself but pretend to be talking to Woof. It was very comedic. Jim could also do impersonations of Yogi the Bear, miss Piggy of the Muppets, & others as well. He was a fan of Adam Sandler & the Happy Gilmore film.

When I think of charity, I think of Jim.

This is what this blog is about. I am naming this journal after him. I will do my best to talk about this journey that we all can partake in. May this inspire us all to higher endeavors.
